In Council of Safety, Aug't. 16th, 1776, "Mr Nesbitt was directed to pay
Mr. John Baker $60, on account of repais done to Arms of Associators
going into Service, to be Charges to his acco't"
The Council Met. Philad'a, Friday Aug't 29, 1777. "Order was sent to
Peter Dehaven, at French Creek, to send down as many Arms as are fit
service, & to send also as many Continental Arms as he can do, on an
enclosed order from the Board of War; also to forward the Arms in the
Hands of John Baker, of Providence, if not already sent down."
